May 27, 2020 · HBO Max, the new mega streaming service that combines content from Warner Bros. and HBO launches today. Here's the list of compatible devices, streaming apps and cable providers. HBO Now is the channel's stand-alone streaming app that lets people subscribe to and stream HBO without any pay-TV bundles -- and it was largely replaced by HBO Max. This app is by far the worst I’ve used from any of the other big streaming services. My biggest issue is that you can’t have more than one profile. Obviously HBO doesn’t want me to share my account, but, I can’t even differentiate between what me and my family are watching.
