On the WRV54G you need to enable port forwarding of TCP PPTP packets on port 1723 to the VPN server as you appear to have done, but to enable GRE pass through on the WRV54G you need to go to the Security section of the router and on the VPN tab enable the setting "PPTP pass through". Oct 05, 2012 · This is by far the easiest option. If you delete all existing VPN connections for your profile, this should remove the existing rasphone.pbk file (alternatively you can just manually delete or rename the existing file).
Jul 28, 2017 · Another thing you might try is switching to SSTP for the VPN connection. It utilizes SSL (443/TCP) for the tunnel, which is a lot easier to work with at the remote end - e.g. public wifi, hotels, cruddy cable provider modems, etc.
